The Role

The Customer Insight Analyst will work with the team to produce the campaign selections, analysis, reporting, statistical models and clear insights needed to support customer and marketing strategies. They will utilise market-leading analytical tools in the production of creative and actionable solutions for the business.

Key Accountabilities:

Query large databases to extract and manipulate data that is fit for purpose.

Perform detailed and insightful analysis to solve complex business problems and / or to gain a deep understanding of various business dynamics.

Deliver regular management information and insight on specific KPIs relating to performance.

Provide analytical support for the marketing plan in terms of campaign data selections, analysis, testing, profiling, propensity modelling and reporting.

Identify and progress new data-driven opportunities in the areas of customer acquisition, upsell, cross-sell and retention.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders in key areas such as Marketing, Digital, Product and Risk & Compliance.

Essential Skills:

Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Knowledge of a range of statistical techniques and concepts e.g. logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, machine learning, uplift modelling.

High level of competency in MS Office – particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Desirable Skills:

Educated to MSc / PhD level in a numerical discipline.

Previous experience of running marketing campaign data selections and performing pre and post campaign analytics

Experience of building, implementing and monitoring statistical models used for commercial purposes.

Previous experience of BI tools such as Tableau.

Previous experience of analytical and statistical tools e.g. SAS, R, Python, Emblem.

Confidence in presenting technical information in a variety of ways to clients and colleagues.
