Business Development Team Leader

Salary £25,000 + On Target Earnings £35,000 & Benefits

Solihull

Monday – Friday between 08:30 – 20:00 & 1 in 3 Saturdays: 09:00 – 13:00

Pact are delighted to be working with a fantastic UK Leading Business who are looking for a Business Development Team Leader to join their Outbound Department on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for a team of agents and promote a high-performance environment.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Team Leader in a fast paced, transforming environment, you will possess the abilities to effectively coach, mentor and motivate your team to drive a pipeline of high-quality leads using a ‘sales through service’ approach. You will act as a Brand Ambassador for the business and play an active role in driving continuous improvement and best practice across your team. Working closely with them to ensure they receive effective coaching and development to push the Business Development Team to be the best they can be!

You will be part of a rapidly growing contact centre operation which plays a key role in supporting the business’s ambitions and goals. This is a very exciting time to join such a successful business which rolls out several strategic initiatives within their Customer Operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Effectively coach and develop your team of Business Development Agents to achieve personal and team KPIs in:
    • Sales – Outbound
    • Service
    • Compliance
  • Conducting weekly performance reviews with clear goals and expectations to maximise performance and address any performance issues
  • Conceiving and driving tactical incentives to improve performance
  • Supporting Business Development Agent recruitment and developing talent for succession planning
  • Working with peers across the contact centre to drive consistency of approach and cultural alignment
  • Acting as a role model for the business
  • Contributing ideas to and implementing best practice in the Business Development Team and wider contact centre – helping to foster a climate of continuous improvement

The Candidate:

  • Proven sales ability
  • Strong coaching and performance management skills
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and results driven
  • Strong track record of leading and motivating others in a ‘sales through service’ target orientated environment
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Strong working knowledge of contact centre technologies – previous use of Genesys is preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment – desirable
  • A focus on delivering results and meeting the high expectations of our customers
